Hot Glue Gun

Hot Glue Gun

This would have heated glue balls similar to shot gun. This would be good against Thargoids because they do have lot of moving parts. Since we know they do not like heat, the hot glue would stick on them and solidify on their skins.
More we shoot these glue balls at it, eventually it will be stuck with glue and can not move.

This would not necessary kill it but it would form a temporal problem to them and most likely make them very angry. While they are stuck with sticky glue, we could perform tests on them.

The temperature in space is close to -2.70K how do you propose keeping the goo from turning into a useless frozen gumball when it exits the barrel ?.

There's nothing to conduct heat away from the goo, or for it to convect out too in vacuum. It'll only lose heat by radiation :D

Just to be sure, put a RTG at the core of the hot-snot blobber projectiles so they stay molten until they hit the target, and then it's mcΔT all the way :D

The temperature in space does not drop in an instant because it has to radiate itself off. There is no liquid or gas for the heat to distribute down.

Unless dunno has found a way to break absolute zero, I would assume so.

Also, Asp Explorer dose have a good point about heat loss though radiation.

Yep " - " is wrong, but in the interests of keeping it right, does Asp Explorer have a dose of something ?.
