A lot of the exoplanets we know about are "Hot Jupiters"--- large gas giants orbiting very close to their sun. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Jupiter (0.1 AU = about 50 light-seconds.)
Do any of the random systems in Elite look like this? Of the couple hundred I've visited so far, most seem to be very conventional (that is, based on old theory!) Rocky inner planets, gas giants in the middle or outside orbits.
I know that FD said any known exoplanets are included, but has anybody encountered a Hot Jupiter? Or is the procedural generation incapable of generating a system with a gas giant orbiting so close?
