HOTAS broke

My x55 has packed up. I feel like I've had an arm amputated. Oh well, Dragon Age:Inquisition it is until I get a replacement :(

Thanks! It's 6 weeks old so if I can't get warranty coverage I will probably end up in prison for murder. I'll donate it to you ;)

My X55 joystick broke two weeks ago. Even with the smallest spring the feeling was edged. Sometimes the centering stuck in one position. I will only use the throttle in future and replace the joystick with the russian Defender Cobra M5. Currently I'm using my old Cyborg 3D Gold.

@Starbuckz - My CH Pro Throttle developed a strange issue today. Where the Y-Axis on the ministick wasn't being picked up at all.. In-fact, it was jammed hard-over [down]. Then it suddenly started working again, like magic.

I don't know if this was a Windoze issue, CH software issue or if there's a fault with the potentiometer. But it goes to show that it's not only Saitek who have issues! Saying that, I've only put about 6 hours in on the throttle and joystick [since my throttle has been buggered all day, up until now] and really, I guess you could chalk it up to.. 'Breaking It In'?!

I feel your pain. I actually broke a Flightstick Pro* once during a particularly exciting Tie Fighter mission, and it's just impossible to play without a good joystick once you're used to it.

*Known back in the day for having the build quality of a main battle tank. But I found its weak point... on the inside, there was a little -like thing at the very bottom of the stick, which slotted into some grooves that the springs and sensors were attached to. That little plastic is what snapped, leaving the stick with no centering and no control pickup. I eventually fixed it by driving an appropriately-sized screw into the remains of the to provide a new and sturdier -like thing to slot into the grooves.

Yeah, my issue is nothing so obvious unfortunately. One of the hats on the throttle has stopped working in one direction only. Very annoying, and short of sucking it up and remapping everything in a less-optimal way, I don't believe there will be an easy fix other than replacement. Oh well, it'll give me a break. I can spend time in the real world for a while - I just hope not too long.

Only use the ch control manager for calibration, don't use the windows tools.
