I see from many posts in a few places that a lot of you guys are pretty inventive when it comes to buiding hardware for Elite, and I thought I'd ask for some advice.
I'm not particularly useful with custom gear, so simple is key here.
I have a X52 Pro HOTAS, a Logitech G510s keyboard and a G502 mouse. They're currently sitting on an Argos chip-board desk, which is somewhat suboptimal.
I also have a swivel chair with metal arms, that may support brackets for a HOTAS, so I'm thinking, some clamps to grip the uprights of the chair arms, some levered brackets so I can flip them out of the way when not playing E
(heresy I know but I do have a life planetside), and maybe something like TV mounting brackets to support the sticks.
Am I on the right track here, and what am I missing? Where would I look for parts at a good price (in the UK, Cambridge), and um... would it work?
