HOTAS not working after latest update

Hello cmdrs. I have a TM 1. T.16000 on my Oculus ED/PC Horizons install. After the latest update, ED no longer recognizes my hotas. I don't know where to begin. I tried reinstalling the drivers. Device manager shows the joystick with the manufacturers driver (not windows). The TM control app shows that the joystick and throttle are functioning as it should. I'd appreciate some suggestions.

I sometimes go a couple weeks or more without playing ED. Am I the only one that feels dread as it's booting, just hoping that there are no hour long updates that break something?

Make sure the right bindings are selected. Go to the main menu, then Options, then controls. At the top somewhere near the middle IIRC, there's a pull down with selections like "keyboard and mouse", "T1600!, "Custom", etc. Select the one under which you saved last time you set it all up.

If that doesn't work, you have to find the keybindings file on your PC, where there's a backup of the last time you saved it.

Thank you... I just found the problem (though I don't really understand it) and came in to say I got it working.

I didn't see the sticky at the top of this sub during my initial search for a solution. The binding wasn't showing up in the presets at all. When I went to the binding folder I couldn't find my preset. It looks like something deleted it during the update. Luckily, I still have the old ED install on another drive, on another dual boot OS (forced to upgrade to win10 for oculus). I found my old key binding there. It's not exactly the same but at least ED is once again recognizing my hotas.
