Just a quick sugestion...
I have a Saitek X55 system that I use for ED, and the default pre-set is nice, but... if i want to change the buttons, all i can see in the UI to determine what is set to what is a button number.
Unfortunately, i have no idea what button numbers match up to what.
Maybe have a "test" screen where you can press a button on your HOTAS, and it will list
Button #XX, currently assigned to: foo (Maybe even just when you're at the main menu or something)
That way, i'll be able to determine whether or not i am over-riding some already assigned function, etc. It will also ease discovery of what my buttons on random controller X are doing out of the box.
