Hotas twist yaw

So I'm playing elite dangerous on the pc. I'm using the thrust master ps4 hotas 4.
When I try and bind twist yaw it doesnt register.
Maybe a dumb question but I have searched google for a while but cant seem to find the answer I want.
Appreciate any help

Assuming the 4 is like my x, have you switched it from PS to PC mode?

Mine has a switch on it for this....

Have you downloaded the drivers?

USE ON PC – IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

For the PC version don't forget to download the drivers:
http://ts.thrustmaster.com/download/pub/webupdate/TFlightHotas/2019_TFHT_1.exe
