HOTAS & vibration affect

Is there any way that when using a HOTAS I can also connect a controller just for its vibration affect that i could feel through the arm of my chair please? Or any other vibration device?

No.

And believe me, vibration is bad. Shortens the lifespan of your devices.

It used to work before the controller and hotas settings got separated.
Can't have it all I guess...

On that topic.

I don't think it was FD's decision. AMH got HOTAS support recently, and you guessed it, you have to choose which controller to use at the start screen, same as ED.

It stinks of Microsoft enforcing "fair play".

It literally has nothing to do with Microsoft...the device isn't an xbox controller. Its a third party device that Fdevs developed software to work with this game...not sure how Microsoft gets blamed when they were not involved. :S
Thrustmaster created a device rather than an xbox controller...the blame is on Thrustmaster as this doesn't even work on the xbox outside of the game. There are now only two other games it should work for...

There are shaker speakers you can get for your chair that'll do what you've requested but nothing that you can buy from a store that'll do just as you've requested. Most of the things I've seen have been DIY from experienced simpit modders.

Erm... Dude. You realise I was using my pad as a button box, until an update completely disabled the controller you didn't press start with?

Also... Doesn't work outside the game? How the heck am I using it for dashboard and hell, this very web browser?

yes I realize all those things and yet 0% had anything to do with Microsoft it’s all been 100% this developer and the default firmware the manufacturer setup.

Some if the inouts mimic a controller...that’s how you’re using it on the browser and some dashboard items but it’s not a controller f you start another game you’ll see what I mean

with a pc, but it's advertised as working for consoles. it's just a special kind of speaker, comes with several different audio cables.

Thanks for all your advice but a butt kicker wouldn’t be practical as I play from my comfortable arm chair and wondered if there was somethin I could use to get some vibration affect similar to that the controller gave whilst resting on the chair arm before something changed where the Xbox only recognised the HOTAS or controller
