HOTAS Warthog help

Hi All,

Just bought the game a few days ago, they have done an amazing job so far. My question is I am using a Thrustmaster Warthog setup and while the game detects this no problem i am having difficulty getting anything to work.

The standard stuff seems to work like pressing fire and the cannons deploy, however, nothing much on the throttle seems to do much apart from the thrusters for up / down, left right. Is anyone using this setup? if so could you point me in the direction of a profile or maybe a keymap of what is what?

Hi Mithandra and welcome.

I have a Warthog too and use the TARGET software to create a virtual joystick and map the controls that way. Seems to work very well.

Hi Mithandra, welcome to the beta! I use the Warthog but have changed the basic keymap given - have a look at this thread for some ideas. I have updated my setup again so will post the new charts to it later. Good luck. :)

many thanks for the information, i will have a loot and configure accordingly. looking forward to getting into this very much, brings back so many memories :)

Strange.. never had this issue. I might go back and remap the controls in game without using TARGET. It's always nice to stream line running processes :smilie:

It might have changed in this beta but in Alpha and P Beta the Warthog was only identified on it's own. I think once you use TARGET it gains a different controller ID on the USB port which has not been included by FD. So they drop you in the unknown type controller position.
