HOTAS X or t16000m FCS?

T16000 has more precision than the HOTAS X. T.16000 FCS also has the throttle, but obviously costs more.

However, I got from Harmless to Imperial Cutter (just one example of a goal achieved) with my HOTAS X. They don't last very long sadly, the buttons fail, the stick squeaks and the throttle gets ragged. But it still worked!

Have both. Comparing the sticks, the T16000M is superior in every respect except the position of the buttons on the top of the stick. You don't realise how inaccurate the T.Flight is until you try the T16000M. Build quality is also much better, the T.Flight feels toy-like in comparison. Be warned that some people (who presumably play in a very dark room) don't like the LED on the base of the stick, doesn't bother me.

The throttle on the other hand...I sometimes wish I could use the T16000M stick with the T.Flight's throttle. Whilst the TWCS throttle is more accurate the rail system means the handle seems to stick slightly making small movements difficult. I prefer the button layout on the T.Flight throttle. Build quality of the TWCS does not match that of the stick (and it needs more weight) but it's acceptable. One small point that never gets mentioned - I like the fact that each unit of the T16000M HOTAS has it's own USB cable - the interconnecting cable on the T.Flight just got in the way.

Ive owned both. If you're just getting started and don't want to spend big then the Hotas X will absolutely do the job, and will be a vast improvement on other non-hotas controllers. However, if you stick with the game longer term you'll find yourself wanting the T16000 for as it's a much more precise and versatile set up. Basically make your decision based on how much use you expect to get and your budget.
