hotel

I am wondering if the hotels are supposed to make my guest count potential go up by 400 per small hotel, and 1000 per large hotel. Currently I have 6 small hotels and 4 large hotels in Canada challenge Jurassic difficulty and my potential guest count is high 800s. It just seems a little low for the amount of hotels i have.

That does seem a little low based on how many hotels you have. Please submit a ticket about this to our Support Team: https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360003552140

Okay Thank you! I definitely think something is wrong now because I have 13 large hotels and 5 small hotels with a total potential of 1504 guests. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Guest potential doesn‘t have anything to do with the hotels afaik. It‘s affected by your appeal and how many dinos you have I think.

So if you potentially can have 800 guest then you‘d probably need one large or two small hotels to keep them happy. When you add more dinos and attractions it‘ll potentially attract more guests again, so the number of required hotels will go up again as well. At least that’s how I understand it.

Hotels are a "black box" to me. I don't understand how they work. They are wanted by luxury guest (at least the game tells me that), but then I see mostly "green" guests there and close to non "yellows". Is this how it should be? And if yes: why does the subtext in the game tells me different? And how do I know, if a hotel is full and I need another?

Here's my (probably mistaken) understanding on how hotels work:

They provide accommodation of guests up to their stated limit, and any guests over that have a diminished accommodation rating. After placing a hotel, they don't immediately show the boost in capacity, that is determined by the attractions in the park (dinos and buildings).

Hotels act as one half of the 'guest chain' with the other being the viewing buildings and attractions. Amenity buildings should be placed between the 2.

The only time you would need multiple hotels to keep the accommodation rating up would be if you have multiple separate guest attractions that don't connect via paths or are extremely far apart.

AlphaSaber and Nioell thank you for this response! I was trying so hard to make more people come to my park even with a 8000 out a 6000 appeal with dinos in the last hour, but you are the only one to explain the hotels to me. Everyone at frontier kept on beating around the bush.. So now I know it's my amenities I need to improve. Thank you!
