I understand they are generated, and I know how they work in-game. No problem with any of that.
My question is :
Do we know the type of information that determines their generation?
All I know is 'icy ring'.
Rings around different types of planets - affect?
Rings in systems of different star-types - affect?
Given my playstyle - free-range with an eye to gentle mining/profiteering (and the need for Tritium), I'd like to filter my search criteria a little, and any snippets that change the odds my way is welcome
I think there's a group outside the forums where this question may be asked more relevantly, but I can't find it.
