hottest you've been?

After a slight altercation with a star and a panicky escape my ship temp hit 247 degrees!

I was watching England at the same time and got distracted.

Has anyone been hotter and not died?

Whats the actual threshold or is it until the hull melts to zero ? Been in the same situation, a panic jump is definitely not the best thing !

I've been to 330 degrees in my Asp. I couldn't get out of the gravitational pull of a S-class star. I panicked (I even forgot to use a heat sink!) and jumped out of the system. Only lost about 25% of hull. Could have been much worse, but was seriously scary.

Solo, showing my better half what happens when a clipper tries to fly into the sun.

Yeah, as we were approaching the star, the only damage taken was the slow trickle of overheating parts. The modules were dying one by one, while the thrusters and shield were the last to go.
I didn't think we'd last that long.

This might just be slightly off-topic because I died in this situation but still it is worth mentioning.

I was called for diner by my father and had just been silent-running inside the station. So I got into the hangar and got downstairs to eat. Only I forgot to turn the silent-running off. So about an hour I was done eating and got upstairs to play again. So I launched and my ship cooked itself to death with what I remember was an heat percentage of around 2200%! After that accident I learned my lesson lol ;) Never mess with SR!
