It looks a bit like a homeworld clone where you can jump into the cockpit and fly the ship. If so can't wait.

Well, early access tomorrow... Still, Vee ARRRRR support! Woohoo! 20 bucks with a 10% discount the first week I think.

Say, anybody have a link with the dev explaining the transition from procedural to handcrafted missions? I'd love to hear their take on it.

Hats off to one of the posters in the Star Citizen thread for mentioning the name change.
I was kind of wondering what had happened to Enemy Starfighter and then to find our it releases tomorrow (my time).

Why do I need to wait 8 more hours for it to unlock?! I was going to play this at lunch but alas I must now wait for the data to travel across the big internet ocean to my home tonight instead.

I know, right? I'm actually being productive at lunch. I had a surfeit of Brigador last night, speaking of stompy mechanism destruction. I was driving a vehicle called a 'Treehouse' which is a tank chassis with a three storey turret topped with a micro-van and armed with some kind of napalm canister salvo launcher and a machine gun with such a high rate of fire, it sounds like a particularly wet nose blow when fired. Great toys. But tonight is for Enemy Starfighter.

Can we have Mike's Notes on the flight model?

I need to play it first, though I think the Pitch/Yaw priority makes sense for the game play shown and the drifting is a nice touch. I might try and fly the ship the same way I do in Elite if only so I don't get confused when trying to roll or yaw in both games.

@tipul's earlier design blogs emphasised the need for a horizon in the systems' skyboxes to allow the player to orient themselves, so having gameplay focused on this horizontal plane makes sense. I'm a bit worried whether all the yawing will make me sick in vr though, as I'm strongly accommodated to pitch fights now.
