How a gene modification could make feeders obsolete

So here is my idea on how this could become a thing. I feel like this could be a gene modification we implement during the incubation process. This gene would remove the lysine requirement and allow dinosaurs to thrive without a need for lysine rich foods provided by the park. The reason I thought of this idea is because of the most recent trailer for Return to Jurassic Park when the Brachiosaurus is eating from the tree. If this isn’t just cinematic magic and is a grazing animation it could open up the idea of dinosaurs retaining food through grazing.

With the DLC you could remove the need for feeders with a simple gene and allow the dinosaurs to self sustain themselves without your intervention. This would then allow us to create a relatively functioning Site B. Another reason I feel this would work is because it wouldn’t be too broken of a mechanic. You would have to actually unlock it and not just have dinosaurs be able to feed without feeders from the get-go. Once you have it though you can do as you so please.

Think of it as an extra gene slot like with the Indominus with its camouflage. In the end I hope this is something Frontier has taken into consideration for this DLC or Update since we are returning to were it all began. If it’s not in the game I won’t pout though. I’m extremely happy with what we’re getting and I can’t wait to rebuild Jurassic Park from the ground up! Thoughts down below!
