Engineers How about a multi purpose scanner

Now, while it's mandatory to have at least one point defence, better two, it is a bit annoying to block a precious utility slots with scanners.

There could be a Wake/Bounty/Cargo Scanner as one module or even better the scanner types should be upgrades to the internal ship scanner with no slot usage.

Same goes for discovery and surface scanners. Especially smaller ships couldn't afford the slots or internals for such modules and with engineers these are sometimes required.

I don't think it's a huge balance problem, because these scanners give you no advantage in combat or whatever. Only the annoying module switching for scanning a few wakes and then back to point defence could be avoided.

And when the surface scanner gets an update for the materials (which is a no brainer imho), it would make much more fun to have such functions in small ships too without blocking a whole Module slot.
The surface scanner could at least be part of the advanced discovery scanner if you want to keep the module usage.

edit: and key bindings for the scanners where a nice thing too :)
