How about a PC Horizons for beginners guide?

Closer to the time we get to be able to clone our commanders to PC it would be nice for some kind soul to give us a guide on how to get a working Elite Dangerous Horizons setup. I'm referring to subtle things like EDSM console updater needing to be replaced by something else, etc.

Edit: Perhaps a better title would have been "How about a PC Horizons for consolers guide?"

Haha! I wasn't offering, more like requesting someone who's more experienced with PC Horizons to do it for us consolers.

TO be fair, everything i learned is on YouTube. I even changed by HUD colors.

Might I suggest this channel Link to ED Tutorial YouTube channel

Edit: If you're going with HOTAS or hosas, might I suggest buying hardware that already has a profile in the game. I went with dual VKB as they have the Omni and regular versions and the base of each has buttons. I use the default configuration to start and only edit as I desire.

How to set up GeForce now for Low power PCs is also on Youtube...
As You can use that to replace remote play apps from consoles with the steam/epic games version purchased in sales or the completely free version epic allready did offer...

The game is the same, only difference is you use a mouse or keyboard to use menus. And flights is mouse or joystick even better Hotas

Nothing new to learn console is same game as Pc...... odyssey on foot combat only thing which is different if you purchase it

I screenshotted all of my Xbox hotas controls and copied them on PC. Not much to it really - one bonus is PC can invert headlook like a normal person. On XBox Elite, that option only exists for controllers

I wasn't really thinking about gameplay, more like the little extras, such as the one noted in my original post - EDSM Console Updater presumably needs to be replaced by something else. At this stage I'm not sure there are (m)any more questions, but thanks for the replies so far.

Default keyboard bindings are often absent. Creates a challenge when you FSS, DSS, drive an SRV and do some other activities for the first time.
Some default bindings are poor. W and S are forward and reverse throttle. I change them to thrust up and down which are used all the time, especially in combat, and map R and F to manoeuvring thrusters forward and back useful for finding that elusive landing spot on rough ground. The wheel on the wheel mouse is then throttle control with X as zero throttle, backspace for 75% and 0 (zero) for 100% as they are common speeds you want. There are others, but these are the main ones that I find essential.
XBox One controllers will work with a PC anyway, for those that are used to using them.

Yes the xbox series s controller also works, on Windows anyway. Just plugged it in, fired up the game and literally everything is the same as on console. Oh except the force feedback (vibration) isn't active anymore.
