How about a really far away station?

We have a station that's not only capable of this, but it was designed for and planned to travel across the galaxy. Unfortunately though, Jaque's Station has been sitting in Gliese 1269 for nearly a year now, despite being called The Wandering Station... (Anyone got any explanation why?)

I assume it's a manually triggered event.

EDIT:
As for the OP .. why bother ? What would be the point of having a station so far away ? Bragging rights ?

Yep. There's a post on why it has to be done by hand and then wait for a server update, but I'm too lazy to search for it.

Aka "The Outpost at the End of the Universe"...
Just don't take your clipper there ;).

Only an exploraconda will have the legs to get there anyway,
and it'll be on a 9G world, so close to it's star you overheat with the engines off...
A star which is of course, not scoopable...
And since someone UA bombed the station, you can't refuel nor make repairs when you're there.

What is there of course, is a wing of 4 PVP Corvettes who's pilots have inferiority issues.

I would love to see some kind of system of dynamic pirate bases or bandit outposts, mixed with AI exploration ships :D

And the idea of a restaurant or pub at the ends of the universe is great haha

There is actually a space station just to the left of Beagle point. Honest - I've been there. Go and prove me wrong if you don't believe me!

(I know there's no "left" in space, but I mean <---- That left ).

Is Magrathea in game yet?
Or do we need to wait for atmospheric landings?

i mean 1000LY and then 5-8 Hours supercruise.
The system so far discovered with the longest supercruise distance is Sigma Orionis. It's 1148 ly from Sol. But the supercruise distance is only 0.29ly, so that's not much more than Hutton.
5 hours SC will take you several light years. People have done this trying to sneek into permit locked systems, but that doesn't work as you don't find anything there.
