How about actual tasteful accent lighting for cockpits?

the "string lights" as frontier calls them are so gaudy
and on top of that are a flight hazard because they can come loose at any time and smack the helmsman in the face.

How about actual tasteful (and properly done) accent lighting for cockpits.
Mainly those adhesive strip lights that are inside a flat tube of silicone that adheres to a surface. or even strip lights that are flush with the surface.

Id probably put the strip lights in a small fighter, but I like the string lights in my mobile home(t10).

the T10 and the T9 need cup holders and something like a coat rack that has robotic claws to keep the coat on the wall.

Also something like a glass container to put an asteroid sample in

Maybe a pair of magnifying spectacles somewhere.

Mine has a liquor cabinet and a cast iron pan in the galley. And the toolbox is a Craftsman one

I'd pay for a "black tape mod", that covers all the lights in that cockpit shining in the face of a pilot with black tape. Space is black, the last thing we need is bright lights shining in our faces screwing up our night vision! If I could really own an Asp, the breakers for the cockpit lights would be the first mod - ie. removing them altogether.

Or the ability to turn off all the lights in the cockpit/bridge

Totally be able to turn them off or dim them. They should only brighten up when you land or dock.

Bit like light in your car comes on when you open your door
