How about gas scooping planets?

This could even turn into a small crafting mechanic also. There is no telling what kind of gasses are in these planet's atmospheres. We could have a whole discovery chain of unknown gasses being found. We could have different scoops for how heavy the planets gravity is or many other variables. We could also combine gasses to make valuable fuels and such.
