How about placing planetary waypoints?

Would anyone else find it helpful to be able to set a waypoint on a planet from the surface map, have it then show as a marker on your compass when in your SRV and ship, and be seen by all in your wing?

Why should there be planetary waypoints, when there are none on the galaxy map?

Being in the SRV on the surface and seeing the compass takes me back to my hundreds of hours playing the mechwarrior games. Drop ships dropped you off in your mech, then returned to orbit to send the waypoint telemetry. Would be cool some day to have several wings drop down to the surface and have one person command "wing one head to waypoint Delta, Wing two to Gamma. My wing will head to beta, wait for my mark for all to converge on the base and exit at point Alpha.
