I know this seems like a really dumb question, but bear with me...
I can open the galaxy map, zoom in/out with scroll wheel, holding down lmb rotates the map, holding down rmb scrolls vertically up/down, mmb does nothing.
Having pressed all the keys on the keyboard, with various weird and wonderful results, I've had to reach the baffling conclusion that I can't scroll the galaxy map horizontally. I've looked at the keybindings in the controls menu and the horizontal scroll is supposed to be on WASD, but these just navigate the menus to the side of the actual map.
Ideally I'd like to use middle mouse button for this missing scroll function, but I'm not even sure if this is possible since I can't find where mouse controls are bound to map navigation.
The galaxy map is extremely clunky to use in it's current state. I'd appreciate it if someone can talk me through rebinding the mouse button if that's possible.. Or is this a bug I've found? It's certainly debilitating enough for me to consider it a bug if there's no easy fix.
Thanks for reading. Hope you can help.
