Horizons How Are Combat Ranks Worked Out?

Hi guys

i'm at 33% Master at the moment and am working my way up to Dangerous so i can unlock Lori and i'm trying to figure out how combat rank is worked out.

Is it just the number of kills? is 10 kills worth 1%, does being in a High intensity vs low intensity combat zones play apart, is a deadly eagle worth more then a novice anaconda? etc etc

Just curious really

The statement that sticks out on that page is

average distribution of ships.

what that meant for me when I was ranking was that I had to kill at least 32+ ships to move one point in ranking.
I found my old scratch pad with the info from one session in a res. in a FDL

4 Federal Gun ships
2 Anacondas
8 Clippers
4 Asp
2 Eagles
5 Vipers
4 Cobras
1 FDL
1 Drop ship
1 Python
----
32

They where Deadly and Elite mix.

Have Fun

Very roughly, you have to kill about 3500 ships of all ranks to get to deadly, then you need to kill 3000 ships of master and above (high RES, Haz RES, CZ, compromised nav beacon) to get to Elite. Unfortunately, you have a long way to go yet!

The wierd thing about Lori Jameson's requirements are that you need to be Dangerous for access to her but you can't actually get to her base in Shinrarta Dezhra without an Elite rank.

So while you're working your way toward Dangerous you may also want to aim for Elite in Trade or Exploration.

The ship you destroy and its ranking affect how much ranking you gain. The better the opponent and the more competent he is, the more it will could for you. If you destroy someone bellow your ranking, it will count less.
