How are Conflict Zones supposed to work now?

This is what I know:
I can enter a CZ and join a side.
Some times ships shows up.
Only one wave of ships comes, after that it's quiet.
The combat bonds are below significant.
The "objective mechanic" has potential.

This is what I don't know:
Where are the kill missions?
How am I supposed the earn money?
What do I get for an objective accomplished?
Why is there only one wave of ships?
Why is there, sometimes, no ships?
How should I "restart" the CZ after first wave of ships, or when there is no ships?
Why is there a bar counting ships when there is to few ships to fill the bar?
Why is there added time sink with NPCs having cheating ships builds, just taking longer time to kill?

Conflict zones are bugged
They pay poo
They are best used for a quick distraction or to move the BGS
The bar fills up as enemy ships are destroyed
Unless you see an old-school furball, you hit a bugged instance.
You get extra influence and rep for "winning"
Bonds still count for war progress (as far as I know)
NPCs are better now, git gud.

Gone, for now. Maybe a bug, maybe not.

Not do conflict zones. The reward for doing CZ's is the political outcome, not the credits. This is true of every activity involving the BGS, supporting a faction more (which CZs are all about) is always at the cost of credits.

Helps you win that CZ instance. Clearing the CZ helps that faction win the war.

I just jump in and out of the same CZ or relog to restartit... no ships is a bug though.

Bug, again, if ships aren't spawning.

But tl;dr, most actual testing has shown it's actually fairly fine, or at the very least, there's no demonstrated proof showing the NPCs are actually excessively overpowered.
