How are people playing right now?

There appear to be live streams up of people doing the training missions in France. How is this possible?

I'm assuming some console hack or something to bypass the timer? But how?

I have the game downloaded and ready to go, but can't even access the in game menu yet. I just get the stupid timer.

Apparently those that have bought the disc version can access the training missions prior to launch.

Well that's the tiest thing I've ever heard about a game I paid for. Once again being left out all because I bought something different I'm a different way.

Hey Frontier, is my money not good enough?

The training missions are not that amazing! You'll get training missions after the timer runs out.

I wouldn't worry about that. On Launch Day, worry about other things. Beer supply etc

Dude, it's just training missions. The game will go officially online, I guess, at 13pm 0GMT

And it's beside the point that it's just training. I do have a job like the rest of you (hopefully) and don't want to be up at midnight doing the training. And by the time I actually get on to play, who knows, I may just skip the training and jump right in!

Point is. It'd be nice to do it now is all. If physical pre-orders can do it then why can't we? Why not just unlock the game on the 25th and just keep the main servers off until the 27th? It's not rocket science. There's no logical reason for us to be restricted right now.

Just my 2 cents.

Update.

There's an update on the 27th. Game is not going to be playable on the PS4 until after it. And sometimes there are 'issues'. 6pm is a decent bet. But who really knows.

And listen. Some people here are retired, some are disabled. Unemployed people still are people. Just saying.

Calm down, that's not frontiers fault. They have to send the copys out before release. They did their best to avoid early plays with servers which don't go online till tuesday. Included day 1 patch!

I'm sorry but it's indeed your choice where you buy a game. I had the same problems with the witcher digital download. Seeing streams of the game 1 week before launch felt real bad while I had to watch the damn countdown! But I have learned from this and I will

never preorder again in PS Store!

I'd agree with that. I thought pre-ordering in PS store would be a convenient thing. Should have just spent the little extra and bought the physical copy. Damn my cheapness.

You guys agree into certain terms when you buy a digital copy,,mmkay. I have bought many games from the ps store and will keep doing so. What makes you think that if you buy a game sometime in the future as a physical copy you get to play it whenever you want ? Digital or physical copy, there will be some people playing early, some of them might be streamers who are sponsored by developers. Hope you all have a nice day

What you got to remember also that as well as your game being playable with servers up and running there will also be a 'Day 1' patch that everyone will have to download.

Never said I don't buy games again from Store, I just never preorder again there! They say 'be the first to play' in truth you play at last

Come on people! Are we really upset about this? We all have waited a long time for this. It's like vacation, you are excited but the plane is going to leave when it leaves. Do something to take your mind off of it. Plus we are talking training missions....... Who cares? The universe will soon be ours as well and all of this on this thread will be a waste of time.

I have never gone to the frontier store nor do i ever plan to. But those that preordered will receive a free gold paint job and several decals for their efforts. Disk player only get to utilize the training feature, both have to wait until the key has been released. Considering the paint job and decals have a value, and playing the training videos also have a value, there's no reason to spread salt around. Both venues get what they paid for.

I mean I think is sucks that one can download it faster than I can, there for giving them a head start in the game, it's not fair! The fact that it was my deceision to moved to any area with bad service is besides the point and shouldn't make any difference. And when I bring it up, everyone gives me hell about it. It's not fair! I could go on but ran out of salt, now the wife is on me to run to the store which sucks and isn't fair!

I know FDev made the training missions so they don't need a server connection to be played. The issue is that places shipped the discs out before the release date(They broke the street date). Some places always do this, some don't.
