Are you trying to advance from island to island as quickly as possible, taking your time on each one, or something else? I'm still on Isla Matanceros. I have a 4 star park, but I want to wait until I've completed each Isla Matanceros dinosaur's genome to 100%, completed all research that can be done (for now), etc. I'm having a ton of fun with this game. I'll admit that the whole power thing confused me at first, but Brett's thread was very helpful. This is seriously an awesome game.

well i am kinda taking my time its kinda soothing watching the dinos in there pens lol but also a little more fun taking your time i also want to unlock all or most dinos i can before nubla.
i am working on the second island, though i tend to switch between the two now and again to afford things like medicines better to keep all my dinos happy 
I'm still on the first island. Haven't been elsewhere yet. I'm also trying to obtain 100% genome on all of the dinosaurs before I move on. My park is currently rated 4,5 stars (need to get to 5 as well) and I have about 40 million in the bank, so I'll be there today.
I'm also VERY positive about this game. It's incredible. I can just sit there for hours and tweak things.
P.S. have you encountered the mission that wants you to upgrade your small power station with a 3.0 upgrade, but you've only unlocked the 1.0? Does the same missions continue on the other islands? Thought they would switch up on each one.

I jumped to the next islands when I couldn't get more dinos available to breed. Money doesn't float over but the research does so you can go back and forth for that. Honestly, I would probably be on island 4 by now if I wasn't so OCD with layout of things. I spend half the time just flattening, smoothing, re-flattening, place building, delete building, resmoothing, replace building, place new path, delete building, replace path, make path bigger, path didn't have right curve look, path didn't match my other path 50 ft away, replace building, building edge didn't line up with other, delete building...

I moved straight away to the second island as I didn’t fully understand the game at first. I kept having to restart the second island as I was constantly running out of money. I have now went back to the first island and properly focused on it. I have a 4.5 Star Park with 60 million in the bank. I have competed all my research and all the Gnomes are up to 100% that I can get. Think I’m ready to move back to the second island and try again. I have unlocked the third island but haven’t been on it yet, however it did say contracts etc don’t matter on that island.
