How Big should Enclosures be?

Hi All,
Not sure if there is anything like what there is in Planet Zoo, that calculates the enclosure size depending on animal.

If there is could someone point me in the right direction

Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think each fence piece is 10m long. You should also be able to see the minimum enclosure space per animal in the hatchery UI

Hi, got that bit! So, large should be 100m2 or 100000m2? How to you know the fence length?
You don't... Much of it is trial and error, It should also be said that many of the animals that don't need to live in groups can be given the "Humble" Trait to reduce space requirements. With it dinosaurs like Cryolophosaurs can be housed in an encloser just slightly larger than an aviary section.

Sounds about right, Enclosures really don't need to be THAT big to satisfy the dinosaurs.

If you plan to enclosure more than one species, as huge as you can, really. There is no really any guide or calculation you could do. For every single dinosaur with the exception of small ones. Also i think its a bit broken so any calculations you could make will be wrong anyways.

Problems of small enclosures only happen usually when you have more than one species. With the exception of sauropods, of course that have ridiculous requirements.

I´ve a question about big enclosures. I´m on PS5, latest patch installed.
After I finished the Jurassic Worls Chaos Theory map I start to play it forward.
I build a really big enclosure, it is wide and long and 4 Ranger Outposts in a row cover it 3/4.
Species are 2 Dreadnought, 18 Gallimimus and 8 Olorititan. First was the Gallimimus which I´ve released at the start of the enclosure, second was 2 Dreadnoughts which I releaesd at the end per airdrop and third was the Olorotitans released at the beginning beside the Gallimimus.
I fullfilled the needs of every species in the area the stayed and they was all by 100%.
After a while I recognized 2 Gallimimus at the end of the enclosure by the Dreadnoughts with low needs, no marked terrain.

What did I do wrong? Must the whole enclousre fullfill the needs of all 3 species overall or did it a part do, like I did it?
Why did the 2 Gallimimus don´t go back to where they was ok?
Why didn´t they had no marked terrain after a whike?

you didn't do something wrong.
The AI still have problems with to big enclosures.
The smaller the enclosure, the fewer bugs of this kind occur. My experience

Ok thx ;)
Is it better to minimize these problems to fullfill the needs for all species in the complete enclosure or does an aera for every species do the same and has no effect?

Sometimes the AI will spread out and away from their comfort territory for some reason. Large enclosures have this issue same with large lagoons if you don't have food around the whole thing since they will go too far for them to register that it has food in the area.

The size of the enclosure has nothing to do with the crash. that is happening due to errors in the game and in any case when there are many buildings or many dinosaurs but the size of the enclosure does not affect anything. backwards, if you make an enclosure big is better
