How can I change the vertical angle of a "building" blueprint?

Here's my problem:

- If I build an item without grouping it into a building, there's no easy way to select the blueprint and move it again after plopping it down.

- If I build an item with grouping it into a building, I can select and move the item, but I cannot re-orient it vertically. In other words, if you try to do that, the game will not even bring up the tool to adjust vertically.

So this is a problem when I want to make something like custom pieces that fit the curve of a go-cart track or a coaster. As a building, there is no way to adjust a blueprint to rise up at an angle with the track.

Does that make sense to anyone else? And if so, is there a solution to that problem? I want to have part of my go-kart track run through a science fiction style hallway, one that looks like it's inside a starship, but I can't do it because the game won't let me vertically tilt a building blueprint.

This is a fundamental game limitation, sadly. Any selection containing a gridded part has a fixed vertical axis and cannot be tilted. The only things that can be tilted are non-gridded parts. This is fine if you make a "building" of the whole thing with only 1 small gridded part that you can easily move way off to the side. Then you can have your way with all the non-gridded parts that will actually be visible to peeps. And it allows multi-selection of what are, without being part of a "building", just "scenery" items that can only be manipulated 1-by-1 otherwise. But you cannot tilt any selection that contains 1 or more gridded parts.

I might have to experiment to know if this works for sure, but last I checked there was the option to split scenery items from the building selection when you have selected scenery items that are part of a building... It might be possible to select the items you want to move, along with the whole building with a drag select while in build mode, then deselect the building and split the scenery items from the building piece and still have them all selected; after that it should just be a matter of using advanced movement to make the final adjustments to its positioning that you couldn't when it was stuck to the building piece...

TLDR version: You can split non gridded pieces from the building, or combine them with a building with the multi select tool.(Just select the non gridded pieces you want to be part of the building with the multi select tool and the building you want to add them to and click the add scenery to building button.)
