How can I clear my stats / start over?

While learning the game I fired on an NPC ship who was asking for my cargo. But because I fired before him, it was classed as a 'murder'.

I'd rather start my character completely from new again, clear my stats.

Is there a way to do this? I tried the 'Clear Save' but that didn't do it.

Oh, I guess our stats will be cleared for the live release anyway (?) but it would be nice to have the option.

When you enter the online menu there is an option do delete your save info.

Thanks for that but I already tried the clear save thing and my stats remain the same.

You may have to settle any bounties first.

I have the same issue. Wouldn't worry about it tbh and sooner or later everything will be reset.

It would be nice for a option to clear all stats and start fresh, if not by time the final version is out I would of been killed 100s of times lol
