I'm desparate for bromellite, any websites that are useful in finding it? edtools only has a few specific types of material

I found a couple of Brom cores the other day. These are mainly found in ice rings around a planet. You can laser the rocks in the ring to get Brom too. Basically, you need to go mining.
How much do you need by the way? I have about 32t of it.

It turns out I have far less than I thought and am in fact around 500ly away from you. Apologies.
You will need to mine icy rings. Make sure to equip a detailed surface scanner and scan the rings before you go in. If there is a bromellite hotspot, or overlapping brom hotspots (even better), that’s where you should go in. Ignore the cynical replies to your question. If you know how to use all the different mining tools, you will come away with respectable amounts relative to other hotspots.

Learning curve is real indeed with this game, but it's worth it, in my opinion.
By the way, never forget to buy limpets when you go back to a station.

For laser mining, you don't need the PWA as it highlights asteroids that have surface & sub-surface deposits and frackable cores.
Another headache....

On my totally unegineered Krait MK II miner, even if I put all the pips in weapons, they do get hot after a while, I cannot keep firing them indefinitely. You might fare a little better on an engineered ship. Fire until you heat up, then give them a little bit of time to cool off. Rinse and repeat.
But as @Lorenzo Waringos says, check where those pips are when you start mining.

Make sure you've got a good power distributior. A rated or guardian. The recharge rate has a venting effect that will keep your hardpoints running colder for longer. An A rated PD should let you run at least 2 medium mining lasers comfortably. If your using three try downgrading one to a small laser.
