How can I get rid of the Torch

I am using WMR and can run it in VR High settings with no problem with a GTX1050.

Now the problem, the torch pops up now and again on its own, is there a way to turn it off while in game.
I use HOTAS, and mouse just in the station for menus.

It has caused me to lose a Corvette before now due to the round torch.

Not sure what you mean... Is it the hourglass signifying connection problems or is it the locals stopping by to burn heritics at the stake?

I have found out that if you say "Torch on" or "Torch off" it is a round disc that you can see the real world even if you have the headset on.
It's not very clear but it works, just annoying when you don't want it on.
I just wanted to remove it permanently.

Google didn't reveal anything about disabling the flashlight, there may be a way but since I don't use WMR I can't check. Is the flashlight classed as an App? If so you might be able to disable/uninstall it.

It's part of the Win10 October update it's quite possible that you can't disable it.

My educated guess is because of a non natural english speaking person. For example in italian language the word "torcia" means flashlight. Also in old time the "torcia" was the torch with the same meaning it has in english.

We call them torches in the UK, flashlight isn't something you hear many people say here.

I'm aware of that, it just kind of threw me the way he used it and didn't directly reference it as one of the new features of WMR. I kinda thought that was what he was going on about.
