Its in the livery, you can change the ship ID and ship name. Its the lowest option on the left IIRC.

You can change your call sign also in there. Then in options you can have the stations use your call sign when you arrive.
It uses the nato phonetic alphabet. So for instance if your call sign is PBR the station will say Papa Bravo Romeo when they greet you.

There are a few instances where the voice talent pronounces "India" so badly that it sounds like "indigo" - I think it is dependant upon the following consonant - really annoys me big time when I am in the "Vital Spark".
