How come Elite Dangerous stats don't include Ships Destroyed count?

I noticed on the Xbox game hub for Elite that it actually shows the amount of ships you have destroyed, among other things. Any way such stats will ever make it into the game for the Q4 improved stats screen?

In the systems panel, under stats, it shows the number of bounties claimed.
Thats how many wanted ships you have destroyed.

What about kills in CZs or Anarchy systems? Or Thargoids?

That's not the actual ship kill count. My Xbox game hub shows the accurate figure, well above this stat.
