How come I cannot look up places I've discovered?

I was thinking it must be a matter of distance but that seems not to be the case, no matter how far I've gone out I can look up SOL and get the info, but I type in the addresses of places that I found took screenshots to be sure of the correct location and dial it in only to find it doesn't or won't find them, click, nothing.

I am now trying to retrace my steps to see if I can get close enough to find it but so far I'm less a 1000 LY out and still cannot look it up.

The 2 official discoveries to my name require me typing it in, then mashing the play arrow beside the text input until Elite decides it can indeed find it.

Fixeee fixeee David Braben. Yeah same here. I meticulously record all systems I spray paint the Voorheez name on and still cannot find any I have befouled. Must either be a bug or someone is deliberately trying to wind me up.

This bug's been with us for ridiculously long, seriously FD, time to make it go away :) My workaround is to screenshot the system on a zoomed in galaxy map so grid coordinates are visible. Still, search that works would be nice.

I've found that in such cases, you have to go through several systems until you can get to the one with the zero. For example, let's say you want to find "HUAEHUAE AB-C D12-0". In that case, hitting search first will often lead you to D12-1, and then you'll have to click through D12-2, D12-3 and all until you get to D12-0.

This also happens if you're searching for something that ends in one number but there are also systems with two (or even more) numbers behind them. For example, you search for E99-7, but there's E99-70, -71 and so on. You'd get the right system eventually, but have to click through all the rest first.

Try finding a COL 359 SECTOR system. I found an undiscovered ELW in one of these systems about two month ago now. Iv even got the piccy to prove it.

Even now i still don't know if i was tagged with it, cos it wont be recognised in the galaxy map search.

Iv now learned to note down the co-ordinates of any further ELWs i find as well as taking piccies.
