I recall a screenshot about a Viper with emergency bacon installed already.

That would probably go off. Anyway a Viper's a combat ship it'd have the tactical bacon variety:

Same reason we don't have Faction specific Carriers that hang at RES to fuel and re-arm their security forces ( me too), or tractor beam/grappling hooks to rescue/savage damage ships for profit , rotating planets, or a transport system for your docked ships elsewhere to be moved to you

the game is not yet 6 months old , and you want Beacons ......back of the bus get in line...lol
