How common are notable stellar phenomena?

In all the exploration I've done, including a trek to Beagle Point, I'm pretty sure I only discovered one system with notable stellar phenomena: a Lagrange cloud . I didn't bookmark it, and I'm not sure if I'll discover any notable stellar phenomena again, and I can't find it in the Codex. Are there any stats or numbers on what percentage of system have notable stellar phenomena?

It really depends on where you are in the galaxy. Most of the lifeforms are highly localized, appearing fairly commonly through (relatively) tiny areas. If you're anywhere else, you won't see any. There are a few exceptions: the albulum gourd molluscs in the Inner Orion Spur (the bubble's region) are a pretty decent rarity, while the peduncle trees or rhizome pods in the Dryman's Point, Sagittarius-Carina Arm and Tenebrae regions are all over the place.

When flying around randomly, as opposed to looking for NSPs specifically, most people only encounter a few molluscs in the IOS, and nothing else outside of it - unless their journey takes them to the other three regions mentioned above.

For more info on why this is so, here's my guide to NSPs.

I believe most good things to find are clustered around nebulas. I am currently on a far-reaching trip and I'm 51K Ly away from the bubble atm.

My route has taken me mostly away from nebulas this time and after all this distance, not one NSP yet.

Definitely not my experience on previous long trips that had me hopping from nebula to nebula.

When you look at the codex, it is region specific. If you know which region you were in at the time of seeing the phenomena you can click in to that area on the map in the codex screen and it will say " confirmed " on what you discovered. hope that helps.
