How dangerous are neutron star FSD charging supposed to be?

How often have you found yourself in normal space of a neutron jet?

About 8 times following a disconnect, the first time I lost 20% on my modules while I panicked, the others were just minor damage while I Low waked out of there, if you carry an afmu it's even more "meh"

Don't get the wrong the bug shouldn't exist but even though it does they aren't "dangerous" i personally think supercharging should drop you into normal space occasionally to add some darn dangerous excitement to supercharging rather than 1% fsd damage I mean 1% WOW living on the edge! Where's the risk?

I think it scales with neutron star intensity (you can already notice this in super cruise as your ship gets thrown around more/less depending on size and speed of the jet).

Both times I reconnected into one it took me 3 boosts with dirty drives to get out and took me down to 50% canopy. And those weren't the largest neutron stars I've encountered.

I really enjoyed the thrill as well and likely won't be encountering it anymore once you relog at a safe distance after a disconnect. However the risk does remain to some degree. If you ever forget to keep your FSD above 80% a malfunction can drop you inside a cone. And then you have to cope with the situation for a bit longer due to FSD cool down (relogging allows you do engage right away) - so making a mistake like that is most likely deadly unless you've got some fast AFMUs online to counter the damage long enough.

The way it was explained was: If not done correctly, it could kill you. That being said, I have not been killed by a WD or NS yet. I find that simply flying medium-slow through the cone, way out at the puffy end of the cone charges my FSD in about 5 seconds, then just throttle up and out the other side of the cone. Easy-peasy but I don't do it a lot, not much use for it so far, the increase being so meager . . . and it CAN kill you. [down]

The white dwarf jump increase just isnt worth the hassle factor, time lost and potential damage to your ship. I can get there quicker by ignoring the WDs - well in so far as that these are now a hazzard and not a benefit at all to me!

WDs should get the same jump benefit as a NS imho. Make it worth the hassle factor!
