How do commanders like their new, discounted, Anaconda?

I'm away from the universe for another few days and hope to pick up a discounted Anaconda next week. I'm hoping the 16% discount will still be in place. ;-)

So, how are commanders liking their new ride? Happy with it? How's the fire-power, the trading?

The discount is granted for 14 days.

I sold my old Anaconda for a new one, the old one had cables hanging out everywhere and the paint was coming off. ;-)

Already had 10% off due to founders world so no savings for me.
Did buy the Python again though - Parked it up until I get more pennies to properly kit it out ^.^

Traded in my slightly used 3300 model Anaconda for a shiny new 3301 model, got 5mil in cash back and knocked 1.2 million off my rebuy cost. Nice!

Heading straight to the shop to get the windows tinted and a new stereo installed. Gonna divert the weapons capacitor directly to the amps

Nice discount stories. :)

What about some stories from Anaconda first-timers? Love it, hate it? Want to go back to your Python? Crashing it in the letter box? I have to wait another 5 days before I can buy mine (pesky holidays). I am in terrible antici...........pation.

Mention in Galnet - following zaonce battle ships are available at discount - it mentions pythons but Anacondas are also available - Have bought one and get used to it on the basis I am wiping for 1.3

Coming from a Clipper, this thing feels like steering a building. Nice cargo space though, hopefully I'll make enough money soon, so I can bring my Clipper back to its full potential.

Ehhh isn't the discount on Faulcon DeLacy ships 16% rather than 10%? Sadly I don't have enough creds... :/

I recently went from a Python to an Anaconda (first time). I do not like the size of it at all, and yes its very slow. Of course I already knew this would be the case before I traded. But the reason I traded, and have not yet gone back, is the Class 8A Power Distributor. As far as I know it's the most powerful of any ship (please correct if wrong). I love beam lasers, and beam lasers love WEP capacitors (love to drain them quickly I mean). So the Class 8 really lets the C3 beam lasers burn long and often. Plus all the shield boosters you can shake a stick at, I just love shields! Wish I waited to get this discount though!

I was 6 millions short of the discounted stock Anacounda, so I bought a new Python instead. It is remarkably similar to the one I traded in, only cheaper. :p

So, all in all 6% cash back for the hull, after trading in the old python?
Might have to go shopping.
Quick calc shows I'm about 6M short for a conda, if I were to sell all my current ships.
When does this discount end?

Useful info, thanks. So, how is it in combat compared with a Python?

Yea, but if you've already bought at 10% discount you'll only get 81% of the full market value on your trade-in, which will therefore COST money with a reduced benefit on the insurance costs.

Not really worth it - so I bought a Python instead, which is parked with my Vulture and Viper (both fully kitted) until I can afford some parts!

I have not done any PvP with it, just my usual RES bounty hunting. So as far as RES BH, I would have to say its a little better than my old (fully kitted) Python at the moment, and probably a lot better once I have it fully kitted out. I'm hoping the 7A thrusters will help when I get them, it is really slow going from one kill to another if far apart at the RES. But if you are mainly killing big ships, then they are usually still alive by the time I get there. In a way it can be better this way, as the police had extra time to work on them before I start on them. Once in a while I am too late though. But yes once I start shooting, the conda kills faster than the python. I'm just using two C3 gimballed beam lasers and one C3 gimballed pulse, but they really do the job well, and I never have to go back to base to reload ammo. Even on the Python, the beams were just too demanding on the power dist.
