How do Conflict Zones work now?

I never was a real combat pilot, but yesterday I tried one of those conflict zones since they are now right outside the station, and there is a civil war in my home system.

You can literally fly to the CZ now without even jump to supercruise, that part is really awesome. Also, when you select the side you want to fight for, the completion bar stays there even if you fly back to base to restock, and repair. Also, awesome...

But, what do you need to do when you won the battle? All leftover enemy NPCs jump out, but there is no new wave of enemies re-spawning.

I thought there would be new waves of enemies, and the longer you are in, the more battles you won, the harder the enemies become..

Somebody knows?

For me the completion bar kept vanishing before completion. Even within a short while sometimes. I also found the zones to be buggy by spawning clean captain ships etc which you're asked to engage (who engage you).

In a lawless combat zone state, it's a bit strange that clean ships spawn.

What's more surprising to hear from you there is you saying one spawned at a station. They're supposed to be lawless, so that would clash, surely. Bug?
 
Not sure it was a bug.. It looked pretty much as it was intended.

(Check out the Dvorsi system)

In the system status tab it now shows what station is on stake, what you are fighting for.

So the Conflict zones are all spawing 40km form the station or outpost. Its not just 1 of them.

I'll go check out other systems in War and in Civil-war later today.. See if there is anything different.
 
With the captain ships, I'm pretty sure that your job is to protect them not engage them. So you should beat up on the enemy combatants who are trying to kill your captain. If he escapes then you were successful.

And once the battle is won or lost all you have to do is hop into supercruise, fly away a bit and then come back. This refreshes the zone.

There have been a lot of bugs lately. I’d wait for the dust to settle. That sounds awesome but I haven’t run into it myself. I have run into a host of bugs from lack of respawn to getting wanted for shooting target ships. Also, I hate that choosing a side is now on the comms menu. It removes the option of talking to anyone before selecting a side.

? You can still chat to people as they are in a different tab ... unless they changed that after the beta...
