How do I control the coaster camera in cinematic mode???

So I want to film my coaster in cinematic mode but the darn camera has a mind of its own. It keeps switching back to the coaster nose view. If I wanted that view I would have selected it. But I don't...I want those cool sweeping, flying sequences we all love. But it'll film that way for a bit...and then switch and spend the rest of the coaster looking at the track.

I know there's probably no way to actually do this. This post is more of a statement of frustration. Hee hee. It would be cool to have some programmable camera features of some sort eventually.

The cinematic camera cycles through about 6 different viewpoints every few seconds. The only control you have is to click the cinematic camera button in the lower right, which causes it to jump to the next camera view on the list immediately. Of course, this makes the interface show up in any film you're making, and also you might jump through several views to the the one you want. There's really nothing for it but to cut those bits out during video editing.

To minimize this (and the loss of coaster footage it entails), the best thing is to pause the game every time the camera jumps to a bad POV, then cycle to a better POV, then unpause the game. You'll still have to cut that out of the film but the coaster won't have moved as far in the meantime.

Agreed - cinematic was designed with the idea that it automatically switches between views so as to make it easy for less experienced players to get some nice angles and shot with a single click.
