The GDPR ceased to apply within the UK at the end of the transition period but companies doing business with EU citizens are still covered by it for that business. Britain left the EU but non-British customers from the EU did not.

Having said that, there's no problem with having a game account deleted that I'm aware of, a request to support should do it.

Being able to play an online game which requires an account on the game server to store player data, only without a player account though? No, OP clearly needs to get his prescription filled again and maybe remind himself that this isn't the 90s any more.
