How do I disable my Oculus Rift?

I haven't played ED for a while and the last time I did I was experimenting with my Oculus Rift CV1. Now whenever I launch ED, it lauches Oculus Home and I'd rather just play on my monitor right now. I can't seem to find any way to disable it.

Append:' /novr ' to your desktop shortcut for the launcher.
Or make a second one with the novr tag.

Dr Kaii's ED Profiler is great for switching between VR and non-VR ED configurations ...

Alongside that, even when you launch ED for non-VR Oculus Home will start up (it can even start up if you accidentally activate the headset's proximity sensor).

You can prevent this by stopping the Oculus Windows service (named OVRService). You can do this with a shortcut to the command ..

net stop OVRService

.. and restart with ..

net start OVRService
