They tell me to blast open the escape pod hatches, I try and wanted...I try hatch breakers and apparently you can’t use them on the escape pod hatches so I’m at a loss, what do I do to get this to work?
How do I do the escape pod mission at the science ship in Maia?

YT has videos. Basically scan the hatch then select the limpets target from the subtargets.
Within 10KM ish - Scan the installation / megaship with Data Link - Cargo Hatch shows as selectable targets in Contacts Panel on Left
Within 250m ish - Select & Scan the actual Cargo Hatch with the Data Link - Now shows Sub-Target of the Cargo Bay, 'Limpet Docking Point / Limpet Connection Point' in LHS (same as where sub-targets and inventory would be after scanning a ship and wanting to target the power plant)
Target the Limpet Docking Point - Launch, wait 10 seconds, say 'Oh for crying out loud these things are suicidal', move further back and try again

while I was in MAIA there were 4 massive vessels that had been attacked.. unfortunately I didn't have any idea how to help.. now I know I need other types of limpets.. my pet hate leaving the station then realising I didn't stock up on limpets.. the cutter is a slow to dock ship. forgetting to stock up on limpets costs 10 actual real life minutes.
