How do I dupe through the selection tool

Title self explanatory. For some reason and its really frustrating and its the only thing I have though

"Really bro?"

I select 3 rocks with multi select... Now I just want to dupe those 3 rocks. I tried Ctrl D every time I press it I hear a Cricket laughing at me.

Now I must be either REALLY DUMB. Or Planet Coaster have done there first dumb thing. With the engine they have how is this really not something very easy to do?

I hope I aint the thick one here.

The game allows you to do it in two ways ..

You can save as a blueprint, and copy / drop as many times as you like

or

You can group the rocks by creating a building. Bury a flat roof under the ground below them, multi select the rocks + new building .. add the rocks to building with icon in the menu (icon is a tree with an arrow next to). You can copy an entire building.

I don't know why there are limitations on the copying of multiple scenery items, there's probably some technical reason or, because of blueprints, the devs felt there were other ways to do it already. Don't disagree that it would be a nice feature but hopefully work arounds good enough for now.

Right, Im very glad I aint the thick one here. The blue print system is... Well I'm very thankful for it how ever for something like I wanted to do it would of taken a long amount of time. Its almost like it can do it theres not reason for it to not just dupe.

Im just hoping its just causing some bugs for them that they will fix. No game is perfect... But so far this game has really delivered Ill try the roof thing. I just dont want blueprints of 3 rocks cluttering up.
