How do I get a refund?

I hate it. The UI, the darkness, the crappy framerate. The fact that the problems highlighted multiple times in the alpha are still in the released game.

Odyssey as it stands is a major letdown. I will say the sound guy did a great job (as usual), but the rest of FDev need to raise their game.

How do I get my preorder money back?

Worked it out. Odyssey just an all round downgrade at the moment for me.

My my. Everything now. Perfect. I DEMAND it.

I have 2750hrs in Elite Dangerous and have been a shareholder in FDev for the last couple of years. I really want Odyssey to be successful. They have had 3 years to get simple things like setting the gamma to a reasonable level that isnt too dim, and performing some UI testing to make sure that they are easy to parse.

There is no disguising that it has been released in a state that I find actively unpleasant to play, and certainly not what I was hoping for when I parted with GBP 39.99. Therefore I am obliged to ask for a refund. Maybe if they fix a few things I may revisit my opinion, but this is FDev and I dont want to wait 6 years for bugfixes as Fdev players have in the past.

You might be content with what is on offer. Good for you, man.

I am not, and want my money back.

Well in the brief time I was in it looked like there was a target and a plot route icon on the galaxy map.
Did not get a chance to test this though, so hey thats progress from the Alpha :)

A quick glance at their stock chart shows that Frontier knows how to run a successful software company, whether you like all of their products or not.

Don't see how that has anything to do with OP not liking the new content and wanting his money back. Just because Frontier has success doesn't mean everything they make is perfect and worth putting up the money.

I think you misunderstand. Just because they "Make good money" doesn't mean what they're doing is good. I'm blaming management on this one - trying to get the DLC out before the end of the quarter, pushing the devs to cut corners - exactly like Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky. Take a look at Odyssey Alpha, and look at Odyssey release. How many differences can you spot? One? Two? Maybe even three? That's it. They've done basically nothing feature-wise, not to mention Cyberpunk on max graphics runs between than Odyssey on low graphics. What a disappointment this release has been.

Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it's still a disappointment. So much potential down the drain. Hopefully FDev can learn from this release, but it's not likely they will. A shame.
