Newcomer / Intro How do I get access to SOL?

To enter Sol you must have a permit.
All backers & beta player have it automatically i think.
If you don't have the permit, you'll need to advance your rank with the federation in order to buy it.
As a backer myself I already have it, so what I posted here above are the cliff notes of the wiki (had to look it up myself hehe).
But I can't lnik you to it I'm afraid, seems there is a restriction in place for mmembers new to the forum (wish it would be linked to your game account).

When in stations on the bulletin boards you will see missions for the federation to increase your rank within their navy. Just start doing a few of those missions when you get the chance. Once you gain rank of midshipman (took me about 3 or four missions) you will see a new mission come up about going to SOL to talk to some one etc. I don't believe it's a mission per se, that's just there way of saying you now have your pass.
