how do i hail another contact?

i can select another contact ship but cant find a way to hail or chat?

is there a crib sheet for text chat etc?

You might need to bind your communications panel key in the control settings

Target the other player, press the comms key. Mine is the "Q" key to start textchat, but I may have rebound it, can't remember.


Chances are though the other player ignores it or doesnt see it. Only had one person respond so far in game, after wishing them a nice flight
