How do I hide taskbar?

I have Windows 7
When I play this game I find I still have a quarter inch of my desktop still annoyingly visible at the top, and even worst, my complete taskbar at the bottom.
How do I lose these please?

Check your graphics settings in the game options and make sure you have full screen checked. You should only see the game on full screen then

This. Go to your options and enable fullscreen.

If you still need to remove the task bar; Right click on the taskbar > Click properties > Check the box for "Auto hide Taskbar". This will hide the taskbar until you move your mouse to the bottom of the screen.

if the above recommendations fail try a length of black gaffer tape along the bottom of the screen you can put some at the top to for that expensive cinema scope effect too if your feeling cinematic!
