How do I make my coaster track light up????

Hi all, I am wondering how do I make parts of my coaster track light up? I have seen it done in a few videos now on You Tube, so I know its possible, however every time I try to use any light with a trigger, it will not let me place it as it obstructs the coaster track.
Please help!

Well, you just have to add some lights to the track. These can either be hung direction only the track or you can use the big spotlights to shine on it from a distance. The lights can either be on constantly or made to turn on via triggers when the cars go by. That's really all there is to it.

Turn off collision in the Game Tab of the Settings menu.

I am having the issue of obstruction. It will not let me add anything to the track.

Can't wait to finish my first park and get it uploaded to Steam. I already have a few workshop items on there.
