How do I rank up my Military Rank

I am still confused as to how to rank up past the Rank of NONE?

Ok I found some systems that got my Rep Up to where both my Fed. And Emp. Rank is at 100% "None, and found many videos on how to stake scan, Exc. Missions.
Also with a couple factions I am at Allied and Friend Rep but, I do not see how to Rank the Military Rank. If this are specific Missions, I am not seeing them or do not know where to find them. My Rank with Fed. Has been 100% for some time and the Emp. Rank just reached 100%

I am currently in MillerPort Station.

Rank Progression missions usually have "Navy" in the mission name. These will rank up your military rank once completed. Idk what Imp missions say. But in the description when you click on the mission it should tell you what your rank progression will be once completed in the rewards section.

To my knowledge, a federation faction can only give out federation rank progression missions. I do not believe the system has to be federation. I can say this from experience as I was able to claim a rank up missions for federation in a system that was not controlled by any power.

Also to my knowledge, as long as you are 100%, any federation aligned faction can give out a fed rank progress mission. Sometimes you may not have enough influence with a certain faction to receive the mission. It happens.

Best bet is to gain influence with all factions in a system to maximize your chance of getting a rank progression mission that will be available to you.

And don't worry about ranking up and finding the missions at the same time. Even at 100%, you are still accumulating rank for the next rank after. So your missions are never wasted even if you are stuck at 100%. i just got my petty officer rank and I started the next rank with 60% to chief petty officer.

Does your Combat rating play a factor in mission availability? I am only Mostly Harmless.
Looks like Millerport and the System is Empire m donanint, I would like to rank with them. I have no problems geting the Creds to buy the Rep. And Fed. Ships as I can probably get 20M a night but the Rank is holding me from buying them.

No, I do not believe your combat/trade/exploration ratings have any effect on Federation or Imperial rank progression, or mission availability. If a mission is recommended for Dangerous, you can still accept the mission. They do play a factor, along with minor faction reputation, in mission credit reward amounts and difficulty, though.

The only factor that makes missions unavailable is your cargo hold size (if the mission gives cargo as a reward, or if the missions gives you cargo to deliver) and minor faction rep. If you rep isn't high enough with a station minor faction, you can't accept the mission.

And remember, all ships are 15% off in Li Yong-Rui controlled systems. Even Federal rank required ships.

Your Combat/Trade/Exploration rank doesn't matter. You just need a fed/imp minor faction that you're cordial+ with to issue the navy promotion mission. If you're playing up in Quince then there's a good chance you've missed a few promotion missions while you've been busy in the passenger lounge.

In one go but the LY range is to fare like 20000Ly away. So I have been running the planet iscan missions. And now I see missions where I can destroy ships in sector like 10-20 at a time available, perhaps this are those?

No I doubt those are the right kind of mission. You'll sometimes see a Naval Strike mission which involves an assassination, or a piracy mission that involves robbing some poor Hauler. But they're not all complicated, a lot of the time it's just a data delivery or cargo job.

You'll be able to know for sure by reading the mission details fully, it'll actually note the promotion at the bottom of the page.

Ok so I was able to find both Fed. And Imp. Stations that offered me the Navy missions.
I almost faild my first Imp. Navy Rank up as I almost crashed in to the dock port rushing becus I had silent running on to not get scanned with heat increasing but I did it. So I now have my first Imp. Rank and was able to rank up twice with The Fed.

I find that I am only able to access this missions if I am minimum Cordial Rep, and if the Rep. Progress is 100 %

I found a station that has an Imp. Navy mission, just need to Rep. Up a bit more then I can take it

I find for some reason Quince stations like Millerport will not offer the Navy missions although my Rep is Maxed at allied status. It's at least the fastest way to get Creds so I take a trip up there very now and then to get Creds and Rep.up The Meter.

Is Hip 10716 and Wu Guinagi still a good reliable source to get Good Imperial Rank? I am one more rank away from the Imp. Courier. I am now at Serf 100%

For Fed. What systems do you recommend?
I am now at Cadet rank but it's only like 10% at the moment.

TZ Arietis is my home system for Fed rank. Lots of Donate missions and mission running. Two factions are in election now, so there are "kill X amount of civilians" missions popping up. Wouldn't recommend those.

Thanks, need to start ranking up Fed. I am at Squire Rank with Imp , and Still Cadet with Fed.
